About us 

At De L'Europe, we consider our bars to be the heartbeat of Amsterdam's diverse culinary scene. From the convivial Freddy's Bar, reminiscent of a classic Amsterdam grand café, to the sophisticated Chapter 1896, our high-end speak-easy cocktail bar, we offer an array of experiences. Currently, we are in search of a dynamic Bars Manager to lead Freddy's Bar and Chapter 1896 and is eager to kick-off another new Bar concept in De L’Europe in 2024 – someone who understands the essence of each setting and is committed to delivering exceptional service with a touch of Amsterdam's classic charm. 

What you'll do 

Lead the operations of Freddy's Bar and Chapter 1896, ensuring each maintains its unique identity | Foster a vibrant atmosphere at Freddy's Bar, embodying the spirit of a classic Amsterdam grand café | Curate the sophisticated ambiance of Chapter 1896, a high-end speak-easy cocktail bar | Oversee the bar teams, ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience | Develop innovative and enticing beverage menus that reflect the character of each bar | Collaborate closely with all other Food & Beverage outlets | Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships for both bars | Train and mentor staff, instilling a commitment to excellence in service | Be part of the Leadership team of De L’Europe Amsterdam, reporting to F&B Director, Yaron Jansen.  

Who you are 

A seasoned Bars Manager with experience in both classic grand café settings and high-end cocktail bars | Passionate about creating unique atmospheres that resonate with the essence of each concept | A leader who inspires and guides teams to deliver outstanding service | Knowledgeable about beverage trends and committed to offering a diverse and exciting selection | Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills | The positive force that keeps the team rocking, all while paying attention to the little things | Excellent communication skills for quick and effective coordination | Always rocking a smile and armed with solutions for any question that comes your way | Flexible with working hours. 

Nice to have 

Experience in managing bars where the atmosphere is as crucial as the drink offerings | Experience in guiding and inspiring the next generation | Familiarity with local and international beverage trends | Previous involvement in organizing and setting up new bar concepts.
